Hi, there new leaders!!  Now that you’ve been elected President of your PTSA, you are a= lso a member of the Bellevue PTSA Coun= cil.  But you probably know that….= what you might be wondering is what the heck a Council is, exactly.

 

Think of it as your own personal network of experts &#= 8211; other PTSA leaders here in Bel= levue.  We meet monthly, on the first Monday of each month.  Some meetings are= in the a.m.; some are in the p.m. to accommodate all schedules.  According to our State PTA By-Laws= , you must assure that your unit us represented at Council meetings.  (Your unit can have up to four voti= ng delegates who can attend Council meetings selected in accordance with your Standing Rules.)

If you are not already signed up to attend Convention = May 4-6, PLEASE consider coming!!  This training is customized/targeted/developed just for YOU – new PTSA leaders.  If you have attended previously, consider sending another officer or a key board member.  Everyone can benefit.  More info at t= he State PTA web site.

 

If your unit doesn’t have the money to send some= one, you can volunteer for a few hours & attend classes.  Check the State PTA web site for details.
